Death By Ribbing

I started Arisaig about a week ago using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in a navy.

I finally finished the 2x2 ribbing on the back today. Done on 3mm needles it was an absolute killer (the pattern actually calls for size 2.25mm (!!) but I'm generally a tight knitter and I didn't think changing needles between the ribbing and the pattern does that much for the shaping anyway). I don't know if I have the stamina to go through the ribbing two more times (for the fronts).

Does anyone know of an Arisaig knitalong? I need some mutual motivation!

Hi Princesspumpkin! I've included a link to the site with the mattress stitch. You have to scroll down a bit. It was very helpful for me.

Hi! Thanks for dropping by our blog. I didn't find a knitalong for this one when I was Googling for extra pattern info. Except for airplane and car knitting, the ribbing was hard to continue at times. Getting to the lace pattern is worth the trouble though.

Ooh, hi! Foumd your comment. Good to know someone else is knitting along with me. I'm 2 repeats into the lace now and it feels like it's moving a bit faster. I think Ysolda's working on a knitalong and there's a flickr group here.

Thanks for the links! It doesn't look like the flickr is very active tho. I'll have progress updates on my blog soon. Only doing the ribbing on the left front so it's not very interesting at the moment.
